Myanmar - Dec 2011

In late December, 2011, I ventured north from SIngapore to many consider to be a forbidden land...Myanmar. Burma, as is used to be called, recently is seeing more interest from outside countries, such as the United States, and will someday soon emerge to allow more and more commerce and tourism to enter. Prior to this happening, I wanted to go and see four major areas: Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake. Each lcoation different and each very interesting with a common theme of having very pleasant, peaceful and open people. This is the first trip I also took my Selphy Printer with me to give some prints back to the many you see in this gallery...this was also very rewarding. I am sure things will be changing soon for Myanmar and if you have a chance to go, do so as the must of what to see will soon be gone.
